The BMC air filter is composed of two layers of aluminum mesh with an epoxy coating to protect the mesh structure, which holds the oiled cotton filter material, arranged in multiple layers. This ensures a high level of filtering efficiency and minimal pressure drop, or the difference between the air to be filtered and the air filtered. The oil used helps retain impurities in the air, allowing for continuous filtration. The cotton filter element is co-molded inside an external support frame that fits directly into the airbox, ensuring perfect installation. Every stage of the production process (from design to production) is carried out in Italy by Italian technicians using the finest materials.

BMC air filters are made of cotton, a natural material that allows for regeneration (washing and subsequent re-oiling) using the appropriate BMC kit. Regeneration should be performed every 15,000-20,000 km under normal urban conditions, with shorter intervals for use in more demanding environments. This avoids the cost of purchasing a new filter, as is the case with original products, every time the vehicle is serviced, significantly reducing environmental waste.
