 The MicroSquirt with AMP Technology adds injector drivers with higher current capacity,
increased current capacity on its opto-isolated input and 4 optional user-configurable switches
that enable integrated pull-up resistors for applications using Hall-type or optical crankshaft and camshaft sensors.

They can also be used to reuse the outputs of digital switches (ALED and WLED) by turning them into power outputs.
at logic level for applications requiring 3 or 4 ignition outputs, without having to solder resistors into the ECU box or wiring. MicroSquirt is a fully assembled basic control unit, with diversified applications, aimed at sports engines, single cylinder up to 8 cylinders,
with up to 2 fuel outputs and 4 spark outputs. Over 40 different ignition modes are supported,
from popular applications like the GM LS1, Ford Zetec, Bosch Motronic and Chrysler Gen III Hemis to unusual modes like the Renix Jeep and Suzuki Swift GTI. We recommend using the MicroSquirt AMP'd instead of the standard MicroSquirt in the following scenarios: When using 6 injectors in the 8-10 ohm range, or 8 or more injectors On 6 or 8 cylinder distributorless ignition applications (we make it easier to check for wasted spark) 4-cylinder sequential coil on spark plug Fuel-only installations activated by the negative terminal of an ignition coil
MicroSquirt ECU Hardware Features with AMP The features in bold have been added to the MicroSquirt with AMP. 2 high impedance injector outputs – maximum peak current increased to 19A 2 dedicated outputs for spark plug ignition 2 general purpose on/off outputs – can be reused as glow plug outputs with switchable pull-ups 1 IAC PWM output – can be reused as a general purpose output 1 dedicated output for fuel pump 2 variable relay-conditioned inputs with switchable pull-ups 1 opto-isolated RPM input – increased maximum voltage and current 1 switched input for flexible or general purpose fuel 7 analog inputs
