The Ecumaster Battery Isolator is a motorsport master relay device designed for FIA-compliant battery isolation and engine shutdown. Designed for harsh motorsport environments, the device weighs just 83g. Featuring a completely solid-state design, the absence of mechanical components ensures long life and high reliability. The device features built-in alternator overload protection without the need for external components. There is no risk of damaging expensive electronic equipment during emergency shutdown. The isolator is controlled with two external switches and can be shut down with a CAN bus message. This message can be sent from an Ecumaster PMU16 unit in the event of a crash or other event. The device is configurable via CAN bus. It also sends diagnostic information that can be used by other equipment and is invaluable during device configuration and diagnosis. It is fully protected against overheating and overcurrent. The device status is indicated by a multicolor LED light.
